The Secret Service seized over 100,000 SIM cards and 300 servers near the UN in New York that could shut down cell networks or conduct surveillance. nnThe network, found after threats to US officials, might be linked to foreign espionage or criminal groups. It was capable of sending 30M texts per minute and possibly disrupting emergency services.
